The Story of the First King's Four Gods

Another name for the title : Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi

Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi is a historical drama broadcasted by MBC. The main protagonist is a prince called Damdeok. Damdeok was the reincarnation of Hwanwoong, the son of god. A long time ago, a tribe that respected the tiger and controlled fire called the Hojok, ruled the world. They eliminated and assimilated all tribes except the tribe that respected the bear, called the Woongjok. The Hojok and the Woongjok fought, and Hwangwoon could not bear to see so many people getting killed. He decided to come down to the world and stop the war. He brought three gods of nature along with him: the White Tiger, the Blue Dragon, and the Turtle-Snake. He removed the power of fire from the leader of the Hojok, Kajin, and gave it to the woman he loved; Seoh.

However, Kajin revenged by kidnapping their son and dropping him from a cliff, leading to Seoh going out of control and releasing the Black Jujak. (Note: Jujak is roughly the equivalent of Phoenix.) Hwanwoong's subordinates, the White Tiger, the Blue Dragon and the Snake-Turtle fought the Black Jujak, but were no match for it. Finally Hwanwoong killed Seoh, the source of the power of the Black Jujak, and managed to seal it once again in the heart of Jujak. Kajin committed suicide because she had no reason to live in this world. Hwanwoong sealed the powers of the four gods in certain artifacts and left them in the cares of certain people, telling them that they will wake when the King of Jushin is born.

Many centuries later, the reincarnation of Hwanwoong, Damdeok, was born. Along with him, the artifacts of the guardians of the King were revived and the souls of the guardians were reborn. Damdeok met difficulties in becoming the king of Goguryeo, mainly because of Yeon Ho-Gae who mistook Damdeok for the murderer of his mother, and his father who turned the king's parliament against him.

Well I think that's enuff for the synopsis of the drama.. This drama is a must watch!! Highly recommended.. And for those Bae Yong Jun fans out there, this is a drama not to be missed..

China-Tibet-Nepal Trip Senk Chung's Style
Part One - The Beginning

As the title suggests this may be long overdue but I still wanna the very least post some pictures bout it.. Hehe..

First and foremost, to my fellow backpackers : Eric, Chin Eu, Johnathan, Tze Huei, Elaine and Xin Ci, thanks for making this trip a memorable one.. I will never forget esp Eric's quest for food , Chin Eu's Canon in D, John's oversized backpack, Tze Huei's hand signs, Elaine's birthday in Tibet and Xin Ci's cowboy hat.. U guys ( and gals ) are the best!! LOL!!!
Last but not least, forgive me if u find ur pics in this post.. ( evil grin!!!! )

We had planned this trip for ages, since early of the yr to be exact ( well actually I just tagged along.. hehehe ) and come Sat 25 Aug 2007, the big day finally arrived..

Armed with only our backpacks, we embarked on our 1-mth long trip.. As I had mentioned in my previous post, first was the train to Chennai.. We left for Mangalore at about 11 am and reached at 12 sth..

This was the first time I was on an Indian train so I didnt know wat to expect.. I thought it wasnt so bad...

There isnt much to do in the train so naturally I slept most of the time..

Yes.. A picture of me sleeping... Lol.. ( The evil Elaine took it at 1 am.. )..

Never mind.. Ada ubi ada batas, ada hari aku yg balas..

The train journey took about 16 hrs ( from 130 pm to 530 the next morning ).. I was surprised that it was already so bright by the time it was 550 am..

Hello Chennai!!

As we were a lil tired, we decided to go the airport immediately.. We had some problems with the directions at first but we managed to find our way to the subway to another train station which will take us to Chennai Airport ..


The subway.. It looked so creepy down there I dint dare to take any pics.. LOL..

By the time we got to the airport it was already 9 sth am.. More than enuf time b4 our flight to Singapore..


We ate breakfast in a restaurant at the airport... We were exhausted at that time and the real journey hasnt even started!!

Anyways, we went to check in and marched to the dparture hall straight away after the meal...

Because of the time differential, we lost 2.5 hrs ( diff time zones ) and arrived at Changi Airport at around 8 pm..

Yet another Peace sign!! ( 2 times and counting )

We decided to go grab a bite in the city as our flight to Guangzhou was early the next day.. So we went to Raffles i think using the MRT.. The view there was superb especially with a row of skyscrapers encircling a lake..

No.. I am straight.. Seriously.. Lol..

After that, we went to back to the airport and tried to catch some shut-eye...

I couldnt really sleep so I walked around the terminal..

Ahh.. Begawan Solo.. Brought back good ol' memories...

The next morning, we boarded our flight to Guangzhou and we're on our way to China!! Finally!!!
