Red Ribbon

It's a Wednesday again and yes.. It's time for the PPD( Personal and Professional Development ) session.. They did something out of the norm today and asked us to watch a movie entitled "Red Ribbon"... It's a basically a short movie on a columnist, Prem who found out that he's HIV + and how he perceived the world then onwards.. It was truly touching to see his friend who was always by his side and his wife who was so caring and understanding as he battled on to stay alive... I was actually puzzled when some people laughed at some of the scenes in the movie like when he saw an image of himself lying in a coffin at his birthday party.. Frankly, I just don't find anything funny about it.. It's certainly not a laughing matter if you are suffering from a fatal disease with the only future that lies ahead of you is nothing but death and staring at your birthday cake, you wonder how many more birthdays that's left for you to enjoy..
Anyway, enough of the Red Ribbon already... Gotta study for physio sdl tomorrow and not to forget Ullas Kamath class ( scary )..

Dalai C signing out!!
