Biochemistry Blues

Hmm... Tomorrow... Another day... Another test... But this time it's not so bad.. Not that much to cover.. Anyway gotta get back to my books now.. Phosphoenol pyruvate carboxy kinase, L- Gulonate, Xylitol, Acetyl CoA ACP Acetyltransacylase...

Wait...I know one of those enzymes..PEP Carboxykinase...one of the 2 enzymes involved in the conversion of pyruvate to PEP, in gluconeogenesis..hehe..am I right?

Yep.. Gluconeogenesis.. It converts oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate.. The first enzyme is pyruvate carboxylase which converts pyruvate to oxaloacetate... :)
